A group of 7 of us tried out this restaurant today for lunch. We got there early and were first in line. A good thing as the place was full 15 minutes after opening and had a line still when we left an hour later. The place is on the smaller side and the surfaces are hard throughout the restaurant creating a rather noisy atmosphere. The staff was friendly attentive and responsive even though extremely busy. Each enjoyed the dish they ordered which included spring rolls, wonton soup, fried rice, Pad Thai, Pad Se We, and fried Branzano fish. I was the only one in the group that doesn't mind spicy food so everyone ordered dishes that had mild spicy levels. I will definitely be back the next time I am in town.

If there were more stars to award, I think I would give this place seven! And that category would be exquisite! Why? Because every single bite and slurp I enjoyed in this spot made me want to do a foodie jig! The restaurant advertises itself as a "Thai Street Food" centric. And it's whole vibe support its claim. A former boss and I planned (but really were destined) to meet here at 6:00. She and I are both early birds. I got there at 5:50 p.m. They would not give me a seat until my whole party was present. She arrived a close minute later. That window of time allowed me to absorb the vibrant colors, decor and overall jaunty bustle vibe of this place. I have no doubt that all of the elements afloat, were selected choices to make me feel like I was at a night market in the North of Thailand. I felt transported to a land where color, music, joy, and flavor melded and conspired for my good time. I am not sure what the currency of Thailand is, but I wanted to have some of that currency given how I felt about this place. The main star of the night was there Khao Soi an entree that is part of a series. The menu describes the series as such: "Khao Soi is a northern-Thai curry noodle consisting of egg noodles and crispy egg noodles in a rich, creamy, slightly spicy curry combined with your choice of meat.Served with red onion, green onion, lime, pickle mustard, and fried shallot." I chose to bless the base of this soup with sliced ribeye. The first spoonful was sublime. This first slurp was the motivation that made me want to dance in gratitude for the dish. I continued eating it, and it is spiciness was just right-- I got the middle spice level. You can adjust your taste to your tolerance and desire. What I loved most about this dish, is that each bite was different. At times, I tasted spice, at times I tasted the steamed noodles, and at times I had the shallots and onions hit my tastes, hard. But, the final bites were the dynamite in the bowl. For you see the crispy noodles had become soggy with the goodness of the broth. So you had them, and it was an extreme pleasure to enjoy. It was a 20 dollar bowl, but, I would have been happy to pay more for it. Yeah, it was a true pleasure to enjoy! I went on a belated birthday celebration, and they closed our meal with some ice-cream, topped with a pretzel just for me. I mean literally just for me. The server brought one spoon, even though I came with a guest. That was a little weird. Not sure if it is policy or practice. There was a guy next to me, and it was a birthday celebration for him too. He also got one spoon. Are they somehow creating a situation where people cannot share the complimentary birthday dessert so companions have to get their own dessert? Maybe. It tracks. I cannot wait to go here again for a second, and eventually seventh time. I want to experience what I know to be good and maybe find new favorites. They won my heart, and tongue. On a final note, both me and my partner in dine got there early. A few minutes later the place was packed. I mean packed. So this place definitely attracts a crowd! Consider that into your planning! For example, are you going a first date? And you want to spend time with a lucky lady-- then go a bit later so you have to wait for a table. During that wait you can possibly spit enough game or say enough sweet nothings to win their heart, and maybe tongue. Again, I digressed.

Was around the area and thought to come here with the hubby for lunch. It's a lively atmosphere and packed early by 11am on a Friday. Kudos though for the Michellin star and getting seated without the wait! Sadly though the som tum (green papaya salad) let me down, hence the 4**** rating. Not saying I need a wooden krok to make good som tum, but without the pounded garlic, chilis, and nuts... it's just not the same for me. On a positive note, we did enjoy the Street-style Fresh Oysters, Crab Fried Rice, and Curry Soft-shell Crab! If you're keen to try it, the fresh oysters serves 2 pieces for $7.50, and the Curry Crab is deep fried over a savory curry broth (also with 2 pieces). Overall, it was worth a try if you're in the area. Come early to avoid the long wait.

Pros: 1. Amazing tofu khao soi noodle soup-- might be the best thing I ate this year 2. Fantastic, friendly, and fast service 3. Cute, colorful, and clean interior-- I felt like I was on vacation Cons: 1. Mango sticky rice was not vibing-- the syrup made it too sweet, missed the coconut cream that usually accompanies my favorite dessert. 2. Beef noodle soup broth was too sweet Parking is a bit difficult, all street parking and a few spaces in the back of the building.

This is an amazing place that's got a long line for a good reason: great food! The steamed Branzino was $42 but it was definitely worth it. Not only it was presented beautifully (see video) and tasted amazing, we brought left over soup and bones and enjoyed more at home! Crab fried rice, served with generous amount of real crab meat, delicious! Roti with curry sauce and midnight chicken, served as a combo and I can have them all day, everyday! Service was friendly and prompt. Long lines moved fairly quickly, no more waiting at around 1:30 so we might come back for a late lunch. Seatings are pretty tight, not much room between tables, reminds me of restaurants in Paris, ha ha. Parking might be challenging, we were lucky to find a spot in the nearby neighborhood.

We get why there's a line on the side of the building well before opening time now! We got there a few minutes before they opened and there was already a pretty long line of people. They eventually opened doors to fill all their tables and have everyone else put down their waitlist info for a text back once tables were ready. We waited another hour to be seated after that, so for sure will be there earlier next time! I really had to suppress my love for pad Thai because I heard their Khao Soi was the move and can definitely see the rave. The curry broth was thick, creamy, and flavorful and I loved it for the first few bites but got repetitive for me so I had to add in a healthy amount of pickled chilis and chili flakes to help cut through the richness. I really enjoyed it, but for sure had trouble finishing my own bowl. My bf got the curry, roti, fried chicken combo and my goodness... their roti is IT! Super crispy, flaky, and chewy. A little on the oily side but that's what napkins are for if you don't like too much of it. I really liked the sauce that the wings were served with and of course their curry is just delicious as their Khao Soi broth, but a little less hearty and rich. Our table got the Thai street oysters to share and I wanted 14 more on the spot! I usually like my oysters plain to enjoy the natural flavors, but that Thai green sauce and fried shallots on top was just addicting. I think we'll definitely have to come back, and I will be ordering the pad Thai to try next time along with the crispy pork belly plate with tamarind sauce that I had my eyes on!

Wow! Not sure why I haven't tried this place. The food was fantastic! Very small (4? 5?) slots behind restaurant, otherwise street parking. Lunch w/ my MIL. VERY VERY busy midweek lunch. Menu seems a bit unclear since items seemed duplicated? Menu description was incomplete? Anyway what we did receive was all VERY good. 1) spring rolls w/shrimp- very good with peanut sauce on the side. 2) lunch special pad thai w/ chicken & an egg roll-MILs fav. Very good as well. 3) lunch special papaya salad w/shrimp-very good. We asked for mild for MIL to tolerate. 4) The star of the meal was the midnight chicken-3 very crispy tasty wings, side of roti with yellow curry to dip. The roti was crisp not greasy. The yellow curry was GOOD. Complex not too spicy, all the layered flavor...Oh my gosh. We should have just ordered 2 of these & skipped the other dishes? There were several dishes I hadn't seen at other Thai places (which have been many.) So that means we'll need to drag ourselves back to try the other menu items. Plus ask more questions to clarify what is included with our choices. It's a fairly small place. Interiors are brightly colored. Food was delivered fairly quick considering it was packed. Solid 4.5 stars
